CC Jean is a proud graduate of Howard University where she earned a BA degree in Communications. She worked in the television and film industries and as an educator prior to yielding to the call on her life to serve others as a counselor.  After earning an MSW degree from Rutgers University, CC has faithfully served the community as a mental health professional for the past 19 years.  She has extensive experience with a variety of populations including children and adolescents, adoptive families, couples, adults dually diagnosed with mental health and substance use disorders, and victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.  Currently, she serves the citizens of the Mississippi Gulf Coast as Therapist with Premier Professional Counseling Services of Gulfport, MS.

CC is heavily involved in community service and engagement.  She is a former recipient of the Wesley Medical Center Strong Woman Award for mentorship and is a speaker, blogger and writer who uses her faith, humor and love for language to encourage and inspire others.  You can hear more by visiting her blog at www.getliftedgirl.org. Yet above all else, CC’s greatest accomplishment is being a dedicated wife and mother of three children.
